Hi, I’m Melissa — the owner, space holder, and creative force behind In Bloom.
I created this studio with the belief that yoga and movement should meet you where you are — not ask you to be more flexible, more spiritual, or more anything before you begin. I encourage you to show up as your true, authentic self, no special clothing or accesories needed. I strive to hold spaces that are always human first, that center curiosity, intention, and the full human experience. I am passionate about creating spaces that feel inclusive, grounding, and human; where you can feel supported and empowered.
My classes are rooted in functional strength, somatic experience, mobility, and mindfulness, with options offered throughout so every body can move in a way that feels supportive and empowering. I value sustainable practices that meet you as you are today, not yesterday you, or future you. I’m especially passionate about helping students feel grounded in their bodies, build confidence, and leave feeling steady rather than depleted.
I teach and lead from a place of listening — to breath, to sensation, and to the needs of the people in the room. This studio is meant to feel welcoming, safe, and human: a place where you’re encouraged to move with intention, rest when needed, are given full autonomy to make choices for you that allows for trust in yourself.
